This policy explains how The Avenue Recording Studio Pty Ltd (“The Avenue”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website, and when you get in touch or book a session with us.
What we collect
When you send us an enquiry, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
When you book a session, we also keep the details we need to run it and invoice you, such as your billing name and payment records.
Like most websites, we also collect some information automatically as you browse, such as your device and browser type, the pages you visit and your approximate location (city or region). This comes from the analytics and security tools described below.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange tours, sessions and quotes.
- To run your booking, deliver your files and handle payment.
- To keep the website secure and free of spam.
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
- If we advertise, to measure how our ads perform and show them to people likely to be interested.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Services we use
We rely on a few trusted providers, who process information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that enquiries come from a person rather than a bot. To do this it looks at information from your browser and device, including your IP address. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy policy.
- Google Analytics tells us how visitors use the site, such as which pages are most read. It uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, device and the pages you view. See how Google uses this information, or opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
- Meta Pixel. If we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, we may use Meta’s pixel to measure our ads and to show them to people who have visited this site. It uses cookies. See Meta’s privacy policy; you can manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
- Our web host and email provider store and deliver this website and the enquiries you send.
Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use them for analytics and, if we advertise, ad measurement, as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
How we store and protect it
Enquiries are stored securely in our website’s admin area and sent to the studio by email. Only our team can see them. We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires (tax records, for example).
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Send us a note through our contact form and we’ll get back to you.
Complaints
If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first and we’ll do our best to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
